Tall Ferns lose but Olympic dream still alive

A big crowd, including Chinese basketball legend Yao Ming, witnessed a high class game but one that got away from the Tall Ferns as they were defeated 94-71 by world #8 China.

New Zealand captain Kalani Purcell scored a career high 21 points (8/15FG) and added 5 rebounds and 4 assists. She was ably assisted by Ashleigh Karaitiana who posted 17 (7/10FG) points.
