Fine Win for New Zealand U18 Men

The New Zealand Under 18 Women finished with a 3-3 record at the conclusion of pool play at the Australian State Championships. The NZ team went down 83-68 against South Australia Country in their final round robin game. After an even opening quarter the South Australian women took a firm grip of proceedings winning the second period 32-17, giving them a massive 49-32 advantage at half time. Continue reading

New Zealand U18’s record two wins on day two of Australian Champs

The New Zealand teams enjoyed a successful second day at the Australian State Championships in Canberra on Friday.

The Under 18 Women (2-0) backed up their first day victory with a solid 75-62 win against Western Australia Metro. The Kiwis raced out to a 22-13 first quarter advantage and were never headed thereafter. WA mounted a comeback to close within four points late in the third quarter but a 22-13 closing stanza sealed the win. Continue reading

Under 18’s start with a win and a loss

The New Zealand Men came up just short in the opening game of the Australian Under 18 State Championships losing 82-80 to Victoria Country. However the Under 18 Women had an encouraging 74-66 victory over Queensland North. Continue reading
