Rosmini Boys and Westlake Girls Win Premierships

Rosmini Boys were far too strong for Westlake Boys, recording a comfortable 68-52 win in the Boys competition. Westlake Girls secured a surprise but deserved 82-72 victory over Rosmini College in the Girls competition. Read a full report tomorrow.

Boys Qualifers Found at Premierships

Day 2 Update from Secondary School Premierships

Pool A is done and dusted in the Mens competition. Westlake A (4-0) were undefeated and Kristin (3-1) emerged as the runners up in the group after crucial wins against Mt Albert Grammar and Sacred Heart Auckland. Westlake will almost certainly face Auckland Grammar in the quarterfinals following their defeat to Rangitoto in Pool C. Continue reading

Secondary School Premierships Underway

Zone 1 of the Secondary School Premierships has attracted twenty three entries in the Boys Competition and twelve entries in the Girls Competition. With eighty five pool games alone, the North Shore Events Centre is operating fifteen hour days in order to complete the schedule. The top six teams in each competition qualify for Secondary Schools Nationals being held in Palmerston North in October. Continue reading

Harbour Men Beat Counties

The Mens under 23 final featured the top two qualifiers from pool two, both teams having eliminated the top contenders from pool one in the semi finals and both teams cruising to big wins.
