Latest Junior College wrap – March 18

Hannah Wentworth scored a career high 24 points, in just 25 minutes, and three other Kiwis made their mark as Utah State Eastern (USE) dismissed Southern Nevada 92-59.

Hannah knocked down 6 from 8 from beyond the arc, all four freebies and also dished 4 assists. Ella Bradley was in good form registering 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists while Brooklyn Pouwhare (2 points and 4 rebounds) and Kay Hauata-Phillips (4 points) chipped in nicely.

USE then accounted for Colorado Northwestern winning 89-61 with Ella logging 10 points and Hannah notching 7.

Jazz Kailahi-Fulu scored a team high 21 points, to go with 11 rebounds and 5 assists, as Williston State accounted for United Tribes 79-70. Keeley Tini was also in double-double territory with 10 points, 10 rebounds plus 5 dimes.

Grace Hunter led all scorers with 14 points as #7 ranked South Plains beat Western Texas 58-54. The Wellingtonian filled the stats line with 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block in 38 minutes.

In reply Jordyn Maddix knocked down a couple of threes for Western Texas.

Briarley Rogers tallied 11 points (3/6 3PG) and 5 rebounds as Weatherford College defeated Collin College 81-59 to improve to 12-4 for the season.

Also hitting the 11 points mark was Kaitlin Burges as Southern Idaho defeated Snow College 65-58. Kaitlin also added 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals with Ashlee Strawbridge snaring 7 rebounds.

#23 ranked Miles Community College remain unbeaten! With a conference title already confirmed they won a 20thstraight game defeating Bismark State 94-64. Cantabrian guard Molly Cockburn scored an efficient 8 points (2/3FG, 2/2FT).
