Things were going reasonably well for the Tall Ferns at the back end of the first half against Australia at the FIBA Asia Cup in India on Wednesday.
Micaela Cocks had scored eight straight points and Australia required a timeout as their early lead had been trimmed to two points (21-19).
Australia scored on the resumption but Penina Davidson replied immediately. An 8-0 Aussie run was halted by a Toni Farnworth bucket but after that the Tall Ferns offence hit a green and gold wall as the the Australian lead built to 43-25 at half-time, 63-31 at three-quarters and 82-44 by the full time siren.
