Tall Ferns thump India in William Jones Cup opener

TF v India

Only three places separate New Zealand and India on the Fiba World Rankings but on the court the gap appears a lot wider.

According to those rankings India are placed 45th in the world and New Zealand 42nd but after last night’s 114-39 victory in favour of the Kiwis those rankings look decidedly skewed.

After some tough losses in Japan New Zealand, led by 38 points from Melbourne based guard Ashleigh Karaitiana, were far too strong for India and romped to a very easy win.

Next up on Thursday night are South Korea who will be a far tougher proposition.
