Westlake Girls High School consolidated a top four spot in the Auckland Secondary Schools Girls Premier competition defeating Avondale College 91-24 on Monday night.
A make up game for the fixture postponement last month Westlake put its foot down early on darting to a 30-3 first quarter lead with Keeley Tini helping herself to nine points and Tabitha Leyson adding a three point play to end the period.
Braxton Robinson scored a couple of baskets for Avondale in the second period but with Emme Shearer landing nine points Westlake finished a dominating half 54-10 ahead.
Led by captain Maclani Michael Avondale put together a more determined effort in the third stanza but still trailed 67-19 at the last break.
Jordyn Maddix and Leyson took their scoring contributions into double figures in the final period – Westlake completing a comfortable fourth win of the season.
