In an exciting development Tall Blacks shooting guard Corey Webster has received an invitation to attend a NBA trainingcamp hosted by the Indiana Pacers. The camp will be held on 16-18th June and will consist of scrimmaging and training in front of the Pacers coaching staff, GM and executives.
The opportunity arises due to Webster’s outstanding progress over the past twelve months. He was a stand out for the Tall Blacks at the FIBA World Cup in Spain last year where he averaged 13.7 points per game. Given a starters role, he was also a vital cog in the Breakers NBL Championship run, leading the team in scoring (15.5ppg) as they collected their fourth title.
Currently he is enjoying his first European venture, displaying fine form for Mega Leks in the Serbian Super League. Leks are fourth on the table.
The Lowdown wishes Webster well as he chases every basketballer’s dream of playing in the NBA.
