The team registering the biggest gain on the opening day of Tournament 2 of the 2015 Women’s Basketball Championships in Christchurch was Oceana Gold Rush Otago. So who were the movers and shakers on day two of the second WBC tournament of 2014 being held at the Alan Brewster Centre, Papatoetoe?
Gold Rush Otago and Auckland/Counties Manukau Lady Hawks certainly came away with smiles, so did the Junior Tall Ferns as all three registered a couple of wins. The Hawks eased past Canterbury Wildcats 64-84 in the morning but in the afternoon had a much tighter encounter against Waikato Wizards. Continue reading
