Senior A Girls Round 8 Wrap

The top three teams in the Auckland Secondary Schools Girl’s Senior A competition all enjoyed success in the Round 8 games played on Monday night.

Rangitoto College, paced by 31 points from Maddy Skelton, remain unbeaten after a 75-44 win at One Tree Hill College.

Manurewa High School and Carmel College remain joint second on the table after recording their fifth wins of the season.

Manurewa had to come from behind to eventually run down Mt Roskill Grammar. Bella Manu-Moore (25 points) was outstanding in the win.

Carmel College also had to come from behind to secure the win. Avondale College led 16-13 at quarter time before Carmel went on to decisively win the second and third periods.

Carmel 70 – Ella Drake 14, Annie Gaylard 12, Imogen O’Rourke 10, Hannah Bellett 10, Zahara Tibbotts 9
