Rangitoto College cruised to an emphatic 122-56 victory over local rivals Rosmini College in the Monday night Auckland Premier Boys Competition.
The Rangi boys bounced back from their surprise loss on Friday evening to Liston College by establishing an early first quarter advantage 30-9.
The lead was extended to 61-22 at half time it was cruise mode thereafter for Rangitoto. The twin towers, Yuat Alok and Tai Wynyard, having only got back from their trip to the Nike All Asia Camp in China on Sunday were used sparingly, coach Kenny Stone able to give his bench plenty of playing time.
For Rosmini coach Ben Fraser the second half was a damage control exercise but to be fair his charges never dropped their heads in what was an uneven contest.
Final score:
Rosmini College 56 – Judson Seumanu 15, Patrick Robinson 14.
Rangitoto College 122 – Sam Waardenburg 24, Harry Cutfield 12, Wynyard 11, Alok 10.
In the girls game played earlier in the evening Westlake Girls eased their way to a 76-46 victory over Rosmini College.
Hi Mike
Thanks for your posts I enjoy reading them.
Just wondering how we can find out when games such as these are? Wouldn’t mind taking my boys to watch them occasionally.
Thanks Jo Hadley
Hi Jo, Thanks for the feedback. The competition is administered by ASB College Sport, try http://www.collegesport.co.nz and look for Premier Basketball draws and results. not a particularly user friendly site but hope you can find the info you need.
